I sometimes enjoy watching cartoons or kids’ shows that bring back the feeling of being little again. This time, I explored the cartoon side of animation by drawing SpongeBob and Sonic.

When I don’t feel like adding color to a drawing, I use the manga art technique. It relies on black and white tones, with crosshatching to create shadows and depth.

In the picture, you can see that I cut out small pieces of paper and drew my original characters onto them. This makes it feel like I have my own little collectible cards.
